Security Software Validation Engineer

Job Description

The Intel Key Generation Facility (IKGF) is the largest cryptographic key and certificate generator in the world, securing Intel platforms as well as billions of devices in the computing and consumer electronic industries.  We maintain all the key/certificate generators and build new cloud infrastructure to enable new security capabilities that adds platform trust and supply chain security.  

Integrates, validates, and debugs software across the stack for a specific product, platform, feature, or technology. Designs and develops a software validation environment, the integration, and the enabling of the software stack. Responsible for the creation of validation plans, automation, associated methodologies, and triage and debugging of failures. Writes validation standards and procedures, analyzes the results to ensure correct functionality, triages failures, and recommends or develops corrective action. Assesses the state of the art and employs new methods to improve quality, automation, and product release efficiency.
In this position, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Create test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test reports for software applications.

• Application-level testing.

• Develop and automate test scripts, test harnesses and automation.

• Configuration Management.

• Be able to troubleshoot with customers and integrate tools with internal functional teams.

• Be able to work with cross-geographical teams.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:
You must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related degree.
Required qualifications include:

• Ability to create test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test reports for software applications.

• Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, UEFI and (optionally) MacOS.

• API knowledge RESTFUL API, OAUTH Authentication.

• Basic understanding of C, C++, Java, and S/W Security.

• Basic understanding of Configuration Management experience.

• Good knowledge in quality assurance process and methodologies for both hardware and software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understand Software Security.

• Be familiar with Trusted Platform Modules (TPM) and TCG X.509 Platform Certificate.

• Knowledge of the Client BIOS and EDKII.

• Server Architecture, Server BIOS, BMC, and SPDM/DICE.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
