Software Application Development Engineer

Job Description

The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

• Designs, develops, tests, and debugs software applications used by end users or integrated with other applications by ISVs.

• Development may span the full application stack including both frontend and backend application development.

• Uses modern software development methodologies and programming languages, follows secure coding practices and software legal compliance guidelines, analyzes user stories, writes both functional and test code, automates build and deployment, and performs unit integration and end to end testing of applications.

• Completes SDL tasks with the assistance of product security engineers and provides input to technical writers to complete product documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.

• May also interact with end users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computational Science, or related field.

• 4+ years of experience working with Python.

• 2+ years of experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.

• 2+ years of experience in Agile best practices.

• Intermediate/advanced English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

• Knowledge of Enterprise and Cloud server architecture.

• Experience with NoSQL Databases like MongoDB.

• Experience working with Istio, Helm, and Kafka.

• Experience using AWS Lambda or any function as a service solution (Google/Azure functions).

• Experience with GitHub actions, Jenkins, Terraform, Bash/Scripting.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
