This is a Temporary position. CS Advanced Industrial Systems (CS-AIS) consists of deploying and maintaining automated capabilities such as:

- Artificial intelligence and advanced analytics models
- Business Intelligence self-service capabilities
- Industrial asset digital footprints, improving our data in our systems
- Predictive maintenance of industrial assets, optimizing cost
- Digital chemical tracking and traceability
- Environmental Health and Safety automation systems
- Enhanced regulatory compliance tracking tools
- Data warehouse technologies and ETL capabilities
- Remote Operations at a global scale
- Industrial robotics and application for efficiency and safety
- Industrial IoT instrumentation
- Facility Management and control systems
- Building Management and control systems

The CS Advanced Industrial Systems is looking for a self-driven, customer support facing Industrial Controls Systems (ICS) Content Development Engineer. The ideal candidate for this position is an engineer who enjoys working in fast paced, data-driven, and results-oriented environment.
Some of the key initiatives this team will be driving are:

- Provide content development support remotely across Intel's Industrial Control Systems landscape, including HMI and PLC development, IoT and Robotic development, and commissioning efforts.
� Working with engineers to design, develop and implement enterprise scale Industrial Control Systems (ICS), devices, and software capable of operating, maintaining, and monitoring high volume semiconductor factories.
� Support efforts to reduce cost and increase efficiency of industrial controls teams across factories with a worldwide footprint.
� Develop and implement operational KPIs across all facilities.
� Help identify gaps in ICS and OT tooling and recommend products that improve performance, stability, and integration of enterprise-scale manufacturing systems.
� Delivering integration in the IoT, Robotics, OT, and ICS disciplines to drive cost and utilization decisions.

Responsibilities include:

� Collaborate with stakeholders to understand system requirements and translate them into a sequence of operations.
� Follow specifications to design and program PLC/HMI.
� Perform simulations of systems for stakeholders to thoroughly review and test in a safe environment.
� Support implementation, commissioning and troubleshooting efforts from remote center for all Intel operating sites globally in live environments.
� Coordinate with site engineers in different geographic regions to fulfill service requests for PLC/HMI changes.
� Identify cost or efficiency opportunities and work with a cross organization team to implement them.
� Establish, develop, and foster strong stakeholder, customer, and partner relationships with focus on strong automation opportunities and supportability of their systems.
� Understand and adapt to a newer technology landscape including, cloud computing, virtualization, remote operations, predictive maintenance, autonomous automated guided vehicles (AGVs), fab, sub-fab power reduction software, IoT sensors and gateways, and advanced analytics tools techniques.
� Manage and prioritize service requests accordingly to business need.


The successful candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

� Business acumen with industrial automation capabilities, both legacy and new cutting-edge technologies.
� Ability to handle high levels of complexity and ambiguity.
� Communication skills to articulate complex technical issues and solutions to site engineering staff.


Qualifications


The successful candidate must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Systems and Controls, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or other STEM fields with 3+ years of related experience.
- 3+ years' experience with manufacturing IT, operational technologies (OT), or Industrial Control System (ICS) environments.
- 3+ years' experience developing Programable Logic Controllers logic and developing HMI screens and databases.
- 3+ years' experience troubleshooting and supporting PLCs and HMIs.

- Advanced English Level

- Costa Rica Work permit

Preferred Qualifications:

- 5+ years' experience in one of the following HMI products: GE Cimplicity, Wonder Ware in Touch, or Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk.
- 5+ years' experience in one of the following PLC products: Rockwell Automation line, Siemens line
- 5+ years' experience in Semiconductor, Factory Automation, Warehouse Automation, or other industrial automation systems.
- 5+ years' experience working in construction environments from design thru commissioning.

Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
