System Software Development Engineer

Job Description

Intel's Technology Development Analytics and Technology Automation (TD ATA) organization is seeking an experienced System Software Development Engineer to design and develop automation systems for Sort module in its Factory Data Systems (FDS) group. As a System Software Development Engineer in the FDS Sort Team, you will partner with other engineers to create integrated software and database systems to improve manufacturing output and productivity for all of Intel's world-wide manufacturing plants. These state-of-the-art systems control factory equipment, track the product as it moves through the factory, measures product features, detect defects, handle materials, collect and analyze data, optimize factory scheduling, and enable efficient factory operations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design and Development of next-generation automation systems
- Work as part of a software development team focusing on manufacturing data pipeline to create robust, reliable, and high-performance application and database systems that achieve customer requirements.
- Analyzing the customer requirements and designing software solutions to meet requirements.
- Maintaining clear communications with customers and stakeholders.
-Creating and running test suites to prove the functionality, reliability, and performance of the applications developed.
- Providing expert level support to end users on use of these applications.
- Create and analyze performance metrics to improve the performance and stability of the system.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must possess a BS with 4+ years of experience or MS degree with 3+ years of experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.

4+ years of experience in the following:
- Programming languages C#, Java, SQL, Python and scripting
- Backend server and front-end Web development using .Net
-Database (ORACLE or MSSQL) and experience in application development using SQL
- Object Oriented software design and development
- Building distributed systems
Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in the following:
- Knowledge of cloud concepts (Docker, Containers), Kubernetes.
- Deploy, configure, test, and troubleshoot Kubernetes
- Develop and deploy microservices.
- Experience with Github Actions/Workflows for continuous integration and deployment of solutions.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
