Job Description


As the Director of AI Systems and Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in building end to end systems with algorithms including AI, mathematical optimization, etc. You'll collaborate with vertical business units (BUs) within the organization, leveraging Intel's AI solutions framework to architect end-to-end systems that address customer challenges. Additionally, you'll be at the forefront of thought leadership, overseeing system architects, solution engineers and working closely with semiconductor and hardware engineers. You will also be working on educating various segments (Sales, Marketing, Engineering) about cutting-edge use cases and algorithms that enhance Intel's Edge AI solutions framework.

Responsibilities entails but not limited to:


Architect End-to-End Systems:
-Collaborate closely with Vertical BUs within the organization.
-Utilize Intel's AI solutions framework to design comprehensive and compelling architectures.
-Solve customer problems by creating robust end-to-end systems.

Customer Adoption and Content Creation:
-Assist customers in adopting Intel's AI framework.
-Develop educational content such as white papers, workshops, and tutorials.
-Empower customers to leverage Intel's AI capabilities effectively.

Research and Emerging Use Cases:
-Stay abreast of new and emerging AI use cases.
-Work closely with engineering and architecture teams to create reference systems.
-Architect solutions that address cutting-edge challenges in the field.

Technology Leadership and Product Feedback:
-Be a technology leader within the organization.
-Provide valuable feedback to the product team for continuous improvement of the Enterprise AI stack.
-Influence the strategic direction of Intel's AI offerings.

Thought Leadership:
-Educate different segments (Sales, Marketing, Engineering) about innovative use cases and algorithms.
-Enhance the value proposition of Intel's Edge AI solutions framework.

Leads a team of engineers responsible for the overall design and development of integrated end-to-end hardware and/or software systems for artificial intelligence (AI) products and autonomous systems and/or evaluation and development of deep learning (DL) hardware structures and interfaces that accelerate DL software.


Directs, guides, and manages the activities of implementing, integrating, and troubleshooting computer, information, and software systems, including software and hardware components related to AI.

Oversees the development of largescale continuous delivery systems that standardize and streamline AI product development from initial requirements to customer delivery using simplified systems workflow.


Impacts and influences the AI product roadmap and development based on profound comprehension of AI and deep learning algorithms, deep learning customer requirements, and deep learning software frameworks and develops new methods in the areas of reinforcement learning, policy learning, computer vision, machine learning, simulation, sim2real, autonomous driving, and robotics.

Collaborates with other teams to analyze next generation requirements and opportunities and may influence and guide research and academic collaboration in the space of AI.

Develops long-term strategies for AI research capabilities to support future requirements. Responsible for enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results.

Drives results by inspiring people, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Science or Engineering or related field and 10 years of overall experience.
8 years of industry experience in building an end-to-end system with algorithms including AI, mathematical optimization, etc.
8+ years' experience in a leadership role overseeing system architects, software engineers and working closely with semiconductor and hardware engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 5+ yeas of direct experience in architecture, system design, and solution development using AI
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of AI solutions framework and related technologies

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $225,175.00-$359,585.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
