Cloud Software Development Engineer

Job Description

Designs, develops, validates, and debugs software to enable Intel hardware features and to optimize for cloud, hybridcloud, and/or onprem deployment models. Understands partner software stacks and optimizes full stack software (spanning firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, SDKs, frameworks, algorithms, and applications) as required to enable cloud software. May include the development of reference cloud platform software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the greatest value from Intel products within the cloud. May specialize in specific technology domains including data services (ingestion, database, analytics), AI/ML, and opensource development projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
(1) Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field with 5+ years of relative industry experience
(2) Master's degree in computer science or related field with 3+ years of industry experience
(3) Deep understanding of data science, linear algebra, algorithms, and statistics.
(4) In-depth knowledge of computer programming languages, such as Python, JavaScript, and C++.
(5) Willingness to learn and continue developing knowledge in an up-and-coming field.
(6) Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced work environment.
(7) Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a willingness to collaborate cross-functionally with different teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
(1) 4+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Python, React, Vue etc.
(2) Good knowledge in data science, linear algebra, algorithms, and statistics, operating systems,
distributed systems.
(3) Additional Skills like Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible , Jenkins, GitHub knowledge will be an added advantage.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
