The Full-chip Solutions group under Intel's Technology Development organization is looking for a passionate, results-oriented, and knowledgeable DevOps engineer to develop, build, and maintain mission-critical high-performance software solutions for Intel Foundry TD.The work in your team will span solution exploration, technical design, implementation, deployment in a production environment, and maintenance of the released software products and services. Your daily work will be done in a Linux environment, will involve GNU Make and CMake build systems, maintenance of gcc and clang toolchains, integration and maintenance of standard open source library components, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, corporate auth. systems, Node and Python packaging, network and NFS fault tracing, IDE configuration standardization, codebase quality improvements, performance profiling, maintenance of unit test harnesses, software feature development, as well as other work as necessary and appropriate.You will be required to find innovative and sustainable solutions to problems by working up and down multiple software and hardware stacks and within massively-parallel distributed systems. You will be expected to have a strong sense of industry-standard best practices, open source development practices, and to role-model code hygiene and SCM. You will stay continually educated about the latest technologies and practices of on-premises software engineering and deployment, hold a high quality bar for your work, role model best practices for code and SCM quality.You will work closely with a talented group of engineers who are experts in their fields and take on challenging real-world problems to advance Intel's march along its IDM 2.0 strategy.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
What we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):
- US Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active US Government clearance
- Candidate must have 4+ years (for Bachelor's degree) or 2+ years (for Master's degree) experience with deploying software solutions in a Linux environment, working up and down multiple software stacks.
- 6+ months of software engineering experience with C++ and/or Python or related language.
Preferred Qualifications:
6+ months of experience in any of the following areas in addition to the qualification listed above:
- Jenkins (or other) CI/CD solutions.
- Strong knowledge of compiler toolchains, binary integration, build systems, Git, bash, SSH, networking (TCP/IP and DNS), and software engineering best practices.
- Software performance profiling and tuning of RDBMS and NoSQL database design and administration.
- NFS administration and optimization.
- Container build and runtime fundamentals.
- Implementing efficient data structures and algorithms to solve EDA, AI, and/or machine learning problems, including GPU-based acceleration.
Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research
