At Intel India, our constant endeavor has been to foster a work environment where all employees are enabled in every way possible to be productive to their full potential. We aim to build an inclusive environment that encourages skilled and motivated employees to contribute fully and thrive.

Women at Intel India – By the numbers

The Diversity & Inclusion team at Intel India has implemented key initiatives at the site focused on improving the overall representation of women at senior levels. Each initiative is supported by its own senior leadership council, which works directly with Diversity & Inclusion Initiative team to deliver programs tailored to the unique needs of each business group.

Intel India moved the needle higher on diversity and inclusion with focused efforts through a core team of HR and Business leads together to fire the agenda. The core team devised a strategy focused on enhancing the representation of women at all levels, ensuring they progress in their careers and creating an inclusive environment aimed at retaining our women in the long term. With an objective of increasing its leadership in the space of Diversity & Inclusion (D & I), Intel India made significant progress in 2016 through its key focus areas like diversity hiring, gender representation, development & progression of women, and external branding.


Employee-friendly policies at Intel India

At Intel India, we strive to provide all our employees with programs to help them lead their best life. Some of the employee-friendly policies at Intel India include:

  • Maternity insurance cover up to a max of INR 100000 per delivery for both employee and spouse
  • Enhanced Maternity Leave : From 1st of April 2017, maternity leave has increased from 150 calendar days to 182 calendar days (26 weeks) and the Adoption leave for female employees has increased from 150 calendar days to 182 calendar days (26 weeks)
  • Gradual Return from Maternity Program: Employees returning from maternity are entitled to work part-time on full pay for up to 1 month (30 calendar days) post their return to work.
  • India WIN Chapter: Intel India now has Women at Intel Network (WIN) chapter, formalized as a chartered employee group. This new WIN chapter is organized to focus on five vectors in order to show measurable progress in areas that matter.
  • Lean In Circles: Lean In Circles are small groups that meet regularly to share and learn together—like a book club focused on helping members achieve their goals. Each Circle is driven by a particular topic of concern/challenge.
