AI Enabling and Optimization Engineer

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced AI software and optimization engineer to join SMG Technical Enablement Group delivering AI (traditional CV, Generative AI etc) technical support on Intel Core Platform, discrete GPU ARC graphics and Xeon Platform for Windows/Linux operating system. In this role, your primary responsibilities are aimed at supporting customers in deploying and optimizing their AI workload on Intel platforms, providing technical enablement for customer products to land on Intel platforms, including: � Enable deep learning inference and training workloads on Intel CPU and GPU products, Debug /fix AI software related issues on Intel CPU and GPU products, co-work with development team for model/pipeline enablement and optimization. � Provide technical guidance and best practices to customers, helping them fully leverage the AI capabilities of Intel hardware. � Closely collaborate with internal teams to provide technical support and feedback for software and hardware architecture, guiding future product roadmaps. � As an AI technology expert, provide training and technical presentations to customers, sharing the advantages of Intel AI products, best practices etc. � Contribute to enhancing and extending the Training and Inference capabilities in the Software stack. � Benchmark and validate the execution efficiency of key AI workloads on Intel CPUs/GPUs, and conduct competitive analysis. � Travel domestically to provide technical support and training to local customers.

Qualifications

Qualifications: � BS/MS in CS or related fields with an overall experience of 5+ years. � Solid C/C++ programming skills and Python scripting experience � Experience with mainstream machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch � Experience with AI model training and inference, and optimization on any platform. � Understanding of CPU and GPU computing architectures � Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills � Passion for keeping up with and learning about cutting-edge AI technologies. � Experience with mid-level AI frameworks like DirectML, OneDNN, Metal Performance Shaders, or TensorRT The following would be a plus: Familiarity with Generative AI models and Large Language Models (LLMs) Experience with any Intel AI software such as OpenVINO, IPEX, IPEX-LLM, etc.
