Lead Cloud System Engineer

Job Description
Intel is looking for self-driven lead engineers whose primary job is to delight our key Cloud Customers by aligning our product offerings to meet their critical business needs. In this role the candidate will collaborate across Intel divisions and one or more key Cloud Service providers CSP to deliver innovative technical solutions that meets the CSP Business needs. The successful candidate will 1Be the trusted customer voice within Intel2Be the trusted technical advisor to the key CSP3Be responsible for creating and driving the technical engagement strategy key Cloud service providers. 4partner with BU across Intel to craft scalable cloud architectures based on Intel Silicon and Platform ingredients that provide solutions to solve customer business problems and accelerate5have a long track record of success in delivering hyper scale data center solutions. 6need to be able to pick up on new technology domains quickly on the fly. Position requires breadth with "sufficient" depth in as many disciplines as possible.7Work with key Cloud customers to understand their technical and business needs, problems and optimizations points. 8Partner with key divisions inside Intel to accelerate our product offering to achieve the technical and business needs of our key customers. 9Work with a team of architects and software developers to create optical networking switch designs to be deployed in the Hyperscale Cloud.10Collaborate with Cloud customer to ensure our offering meets their functional, performance, quality, reliability and service level requirements for an hyper scale Cloud environment11Collaborate with Silicon Design and Manufacturing to ensure customer needs are met including yield/bin split12Engage NOT only at a Silicon/CPU level but think of an entire platform including all the extended ingredients - Memory, Storage, Networking, Accelerators, FPGA, etc.


Qualifications1BS/MS in EE/CE/CS/Math28-10+ years working in Hardware, Software, Electronics, Cloud, HPC, Big Data, Data Center or Server / PC industries3Excellent Customer facing skills 4Outstanding written and verbal communication skills5Demonstrated track-record of self-directed execution and working across organizational boundaries6Strong background in CPU, Power, Performance, Optimization methods7Strong background in Systems, Form Factors, Power Delivery, Racks and Cooling8Exposure to Ethernet Networking, switches, Optical technologies9Exposure to Big Data, Memory-Storage tiers, Databases technologies10Exposure to Virtualization, Containers, emerging technologies like FaaS.11Demonstrated ability to do hands on technical work including debug customer issues as needed.
