Network software Engineer in the DPDK group working on the Dataplane Development Kit open source software: http://dpdk.org/DPDK is a set of userspace libraries for high speed packet processing, written in C. All development is conducted in an open source, community based, model: http://dpdk.org/ml/archives/dev/This position is at the Intel Shannon site in Co. Clare, Ireland. The general role involves performing network product design, development, testing, documentation, and analysis of software applications. Duties include designing networking libraries or applications, writing code in C, completing programming and developing and executing testing and debugging routines, and documenting work and results.
- Strong C experience: 3-5 years- Knowledge of Linux toolchain: Git, GCC, Gerrit, git-send-email, GDB, etc.- Knowledge of L2/L3 Networking- Knowledge of network applications such as: BRAS, vEPC, vBNG, VNF, OVS- Experience of Open Source development: kernel workflow or similar- Prior experience of DPDK a plus- Bachelors degree in Software Development, CS, Engineering, Maths or PhysicsInside this Business Group
