Job Description Develops and applies computer aided design CAD software engineering methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems. Assessing architecture and hardware limitations, plans technical projects in the design and development of CAD software. Defines and selects new approaches and implementation of CAD software engineering applications and design specifications and parameters. Develops routines and utility programs. Prepares design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval. May specify materials, equipment and supplies required for completion of projects and may evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.In this position your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Drive low power design initiatives that impact all areas of design - starting from Power Specification to Tape-in- Good understanding of Unified Power Format Standard, deep understanding of constructs, impact on tools is a must- Explore methods to deliver flawless designs with regards to power- Interface with IP and SoC teams, Architecture, front-end and back-end design to understand methodology gaps and work on continuous improvement- You will also be responsible for driving methodology development, automation, collaborate with other design teams, share best known methods and learnings, participate with other global teams to share issues/solutions
You should possess Bachelors in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience or Masters in Electrical Engineering with 5+ relevant experience in SOC Low Power DesignAdditional qualifications include- Have 3+ years of experience in working on IPs/ SoCs which deliver to low power segments- Highly motivated individual with a "what-ever-it-takes" and "can-do" attitude and willingness to take calculated risks to meet design & team goals- Have strong knowledge in Low Power Design, UPF standards, various vendors tools used from RTL-to-GDS- Solid knowledge of design flows/methodologies- Have strong knowledge in both front-end and physical design flows using tools like VCS-NLP, Spyglass-LP/ VC-LP, DC, ICC, PTPX, Conformal- Have proven track record of handling complex technical issues- Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills - Good team player
