Act as a technical point of contact for factory escalation related to substrates and assembly materials.
Accountable for substrates and assembly materials NPI/NTI and ramp technical deliverables including materials qualification execution, excursion management and value engineering.
Maintain quality standard and system of incoming materials including making specs relevant to manufacturing requirements to minimize variability and subjectivity.
Understand factory requirement and supplier capability to ensure adequate spec limit is defined in procurement spec and/or drawing.
Drive continuous material quality improvement.
You should possess a Bachelor or Master's degree in Materials Science/Engineering, any related engineering degree.
At least three years working experience in high volume manufacturing and/or development fields.
Strong problem solving, data analysis, statistical process control and design of experiments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills including upward communication and presentation skills.
Good understanding of the fundamentals of Materials Science and Engineering.
Experience in leading processor materials development with hands on experience in the use and interpretation of analytical tools such as SEM, FTiR, mechanical testing is an advantage.
Knowledge of thermal and/or mechanical behavior of materials warpage, deformation, fracture, adhesion , organic high density substrates.
