As a System and Networking Researcher you will be part of Intel Lab's System and Software Lab for leading and contributing to research in the performance and power optimization for both future IA architecture and new computing systems/software including but not limited to: Optimize cloud and SDN/NFV applications and IO performance and power via hardware-software co-optimization approaches, including algorithm design, investigating the impact of hardware architecture core, cache, memory, etc.. configuration on application performance, etc. The research will include studying on workloads main focus on cloud, and SDN/NFV characteristics and defining new architectures, policies and algorithms for adaptive and dynamic performance optimization and studying the impact and implication of the new architecture on memory hierarchy. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to conduct leading edge research in system and algorithm area, with networking knowledge as a strong plus. Work includes system and algorithm research and analysis, simulations, development of the protocols, and research paper writing.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
- Must be pursuing a MS or PHD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 6 months hands on architecture and/or system experience required Computer system experience
