Job Description The candidate will be part of the Client Computing GroupCCG/ Client Customer Engineering & Operations CCEO/ Graphics Customer Engineering GCE team, working on enabling OEMs like HP, Dell, Lenovo, Panasonic etc. PC designs from Graphics SW perspective as account owner. The candidate will be responsible to own and drive OEM found issues, understanding new feature/enhancement requests from OEMs on Intel's behalf and work with various teams within Intel to provide a solution/fix.Skills-Should have basic understanding of Computer architectureIA, micro controller/microprocessor, graphics device driver, windows components and display technologies like HDMI/DP/eDP etc.-Ability to understand and/or interpret graphics and display driver requirements.-A self-starter with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team across multiple Geos.-Excellent analytical ability, problem solving and communication skills verbal and written.-Should be ready to travel for on-site support on short notice.-Should have right attitude to work with Intel's customers/OEMs Japan, China, Taiwan etc.-Hands on experience using windbg and windows debugging tools would be added advantage-Experience in customer support and system level understanding would be added advantage.-Good understanding of Display graphics driver / Media / 3D /Audio would be added advantage.-Familiarity with agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban will be added advantage.-Should be self-motivated and should have open mindset to change & should be able to multitask effectively.ResponsibilitiesResponsible as Intel's PC graphics SW account owner for OEMs like HP, Dell, Lenovo, Panasonic etc. and working on enabling these OEMs PC designs from Graphics SW perspective. To own and drive OEM found issues, understanding new feature/enhancement requests from OEMs on Intel's behalf and work with various teams within Intel to provide a solution/fix. Working with various Intel internal teams to partner with them and analyze performance & functional issues coming from multiple OEMs in graphics software drivers and recommending future hardware & software improvementsIdentify validation gaps between OEMs testing VS Intel internal testing, getting the gaps fixed/minimized. This is a Techno-Management role where the candidate needs to be technically strong for hand-on work to try different validation methods/combinations as suggested by OEM and be able to replicate the same failing environment at Intel site, do 1st level basic triage and if needed, drive the issue with multiple stakeholders to provide a final resolution/solution to OEM request/issue.Will work on Intel PlatformsLegacy, Current and Next Gen & CustomerOEM Systems. Collaboratively work with the partner teams from PEG, CCG to help enable OEMs to launch on time.Support replication and driving of Graphics driver/WHQL/ media workloads/ Display Compliance failures issues till closure.Interface with cross-site functional teams in different time zones.Set up work groups/task forces to drive any focused/show stopper gating issues.Review bugs, post-mortem of bug escapes and propose methods to catch bugs early.Propose ideas on design for debug and automation of debug and validation methodologies for Intel and OEM teams.Track the progress of quality/validation goals. Provide periodic updates to program leads/management on progress and escalate issues on time if needed.Drive improvements/efficiencies. Write technical papers for internal/external technical conferences in graphics domain.
Master or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering with 2 - 10 years' experience.
