The Scalable Performance CPU Development Group SDG is searching for an energetic and passionate hands on technical lead who is ready to drive and grow a team of SoC design/verification engineers. We are looking for someone who has passion around improving the way we solve complex problems through the work of the team as wells as their own direct contributions. Working experiences digging in deep on technical challenges, empowering a team to succeed, and fostering technical guidance to development of junior employees.Direct Responsibilities:Oversees definition, design, verification, and documentation for SoC System on a Chip and SiP System in Package development.Determines architecture design, logic design, and/or verification simulation/ emulation based. Defines module interfaces/formats. Performs Logic design for integration of cell libraries, functional units and sub-systems into SoC full chip designs, Register Transfer Level coding, and simulation for SoCs. Performs all aspects of the SoC design flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, timing and power to create a design database that is ready for manufacturing. BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other related field of study with a minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience in SOC/IP/system design and verification or MS degree with 10+ years or PHD with 8+ years of directly related SOC Design Verification Industry Experience. Candidates must have the following:Proven expertise in Silicon product development and leading design teams. Relevant SoC/IP/ASIC design, validation and micro-arch development experience in front end processes including Register Transfer Level RTL development, functional and performance verification Expertise in micro architecture development, design and integration of design blocks IP to system-on-chip SoC components. Experience with designing/dealing with various type of external interfaces, like DDR, PCIe or similar. The ability work as an individual and as part of a team to deliver a product starting from the creation of the spec, design, verification, and finally to productization is a strong requirement. Understand system and package implications of silicon/FPGA design decisions. Preferred Skills:Experience with ASIC & FPGA based designs, Experience with implementing and working with emulation platforms, Experience in pre and post silicon debug from component and system level.Inside this Business Group
