Board Library Engineering Intern

Job Description

Come join Intel's Silicon Photonics Product Development Team! Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • PCB component library creation/clean-up in the database
  • Basic board Signal Integrity
  • Power Integrity SI/PI simulation

The selected aplicant must have the following behavior skills:

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be pursuing a Master's in Electrical Engineering or related field.

6+ months experience/ knowledge in:

  • Board design process and component library-Experience in PCB layout
  • Board library creation symbol & footprint-Experience of CAD tool for PCB design such as Cadence Allegro and OrCad

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of transmission line theory impedance control, skew, crosstalk etc
  • IR drop concept on Printed Circuit Boards PCB desirable
  • Experience with Signal integrity and Power Integrity simulation including IR drop simulation
  • Good understanding of PCB manufacturing process
