Modem System Technologist (f/m)

Job Description

Join Intel as part of the Modem Technology Group (MTG) in Intel’s Communication and Devices Group (iCDG). We are looking for experienced wireless technologist to shape the future of Next Generation modems.

In this position you will be part of a team defining modem features, capabilities, KPI targets and architecture evolution. Some travel will be required.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze impact of new features to baseband modem implementation and KPIs
  • Drive discussions with ecosystem partners on modem feature requirements and roadmap alignment
  • Advise modem planning team on feature support and requirement
  • Identify areas for modem capabilities leadership and drive related features through alignment with ecosystem partners and standards team
  • Make recommendations on feature support based on technical analysis and ecosystem feedback
  • Identifies areas of modem performance and KPI improvements and propose enhancements



Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with:

  • In-depth  understanding of Digital Communication Systems,  Signal Processing, Estimation, and related fields
  • Industry experience in baseband modem design and implementation
  • Knowledge of OFDMA system design and LTE physical layer
  • General knowledge of LTE upper layer
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and research skills
  • Cross functional leadership
