This Master Thesis is focused on 'Test Concept for new RF Interface' used within IC platform for 5G mobile communication. Such platforms are used inside smartphones, tablets, cars and other devices requiring advanced mobile communication standards. The new RF interface replaces an existing industry-standard interface.The test concept to be developed is required for high-volume manufacturing test of semiconductor devices. Overall objective for test concept development is to balance test time used during manufacturing test and quality of the test to be executed. Test concept defines circuitry to be built into ICs and the test routines applied during manufacturing test. Part of thesis work is modelling of test channel including device-under-test and tester equipment-related hardware.During the course of this thesis you will get insights into highly complex industrial test development work and latest mobile communication standards. State-of-the-art lab equipment and latest development software is available in Intel's Munich test lab.
