Open Source Network Software Engineer

Job Description
In this position, you will join a talented open source software development team at Network Platform Group, as part of Intel Data Center Group, contributing to the software development to the projects such as DPDK,, OPNFV or Linux/KVM/Container networking. DPDK is currently an open source community project at DPDK focus on the data plane and packet forwarding software workload optimization. Currently the networking is becoming smart and intelligent, programmable. It is undergoing the transformation towards 5G, NFV and SDN. Moving the network appliance on a virtualized commodity server platform is an excited challenge. As an open source engineer, you will be responsible for designing the world fastest data path technologies on top of Intel processors, chipset and Ethernet products. Software deliverable will be achieved to work through and upstream to the open source projects.


- In-depth understanding of Intel Architecture, Chipset and Ethernet technology.- In-depth understanding of Linux/FreeBSD like system and Internals.- Good understanding of Linux networking and Ethernet driver techniques.- Good understanding of open source projects with proven track records.- Major in Computer science or equivalent.Added advantages- Passionate to deal with the open source project - Packet processing expertise in Telco/Network- Good knowledge of Virtualization and Container technology.- Demonstrate the technology curiosity and problem solving skills.- Strong English skills
