Job Description Business Group OverviewThe Silicon Photonics Product Department SPPD is part of Intel's Data Center Group DCG. SPPD is leading the company's world-class, industry leading-edge photonic communication development. The mission of SPPD is to deliver breakthrough technologies to fuel Intel's growth. This includes new technologies and opportunities reaching first-to-market technologies and innovative new usages for data transfer technologies.We are looking for innovative, process oriented and highly motivated Senior Firmware engineers who has extensive experience in architecting and implementing firmware for real time systems. You will be responsible for Design and develop embedded firmware for microcontroller/processor-based opto-electronic products.Scope, schedule and risk managementDefine and implement high performance software by leveraging a strong understanding of embedded hardware design.Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.Review product documentation for accuracy including documentation intended for customer use.Evaluate product non-conformances and recommend design modifications.Develop, communicate and document project strategies and plans. Experience in embedded architecture, external interfaces, product constraints, along with ability to develop architectures/features that meet these constraints while providing new value for the platform. Source code development, review and maintenance C/C++. Unit and system level test and verification TCL, System C, Modelsim SE Experience in low-level programming, system architecture, operating systems, device architecture, hardware design.Experience in storage interface standards such as SATA, SAS, PCIe, and Fiber Channel. System level design and modeling manages design environment make, Perl, SVN, Bugzilla. System integration using 8, 16, 32 bit microcontrollers.Algorithm modeling, benchmarking, implementation, and digital signal processing.
