We are looking for talented and passionate Intern to join the Automated Driving Group (ADG). Responsibilities may be quite diverse in a technical nature and will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the role, U.S. experience and education requirements. Job assignments may be for the summer or for short periods throughout the school year.
The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Work on automotive projects and research academic publications/implementations to understand state of the art computer vision and deep learning methods being applied for ADAS/AD use cases. Then , work with Intel SDK team to enable a rich software function library (OpenVX, OpenCL) to support these methods.
Work with cross division teams at Intel to adopt, modify or develop reference computer vision, sensor fusion and driving policy algorithms for target architecture using HW optimized API's like OpenVX, OpenCL.
Integration and configuration of System SW components including OS, Drivers, Libs etc with the AD/ADAS applications to deploy on the target system
Ability to independently research and learn new concepts and API’s to develop applications for prototyping and reference code.
Document the best known methods and processes.
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.
Must be pursuing PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
Minimum 3 months of experience in Computer Vision and Deep Neural Net algorithm development using OpenVX API, Intel Deep Learning SDK and Intel Computer Vision SDK
Minimum 12 months of experience developing code in Python, C, C++
Minimum 3 months experience using Caffe, Intel-Caffe Deep Learning framework
Minimum 3 months of experience in Deep Learning state-of-the-art algorithms relevant for Autonomous Driving
Prior algorithm development and/or software development experience in Embedded/Automotive applications will be considered highly valuable.
Shell scripting (preferably BASH)
Experience with one or more Computer Vision Programming Tools and APIs: MATLAB, OpenCV, OpenCL
Coursework and/or Research background in Digital Image Processing or Digital Signal processing
Experience working in Linux OS (preferably Ubuntu)
