Mixed Signal Functional Verification Engineer m/f

Job Description

We are game changers! We develop RF transceivers for smart phones, tablets, wearables, and other mobile wireless products, leveraging our unique advantages in monolithic integration of Mixed-Signal, RF, power management functions and comprehensive know-how in cellular hardware, software and systems development.

The successful candidate will be part of the Radio Frequency Mixed-Signal Functional Verification team driving complete end to end RF transceiver quality sign-off. The role within the team will be as a Mixed-Signal modeling and verification engineer, developing, and verifying behavioral models e.g. Low-noise amplifiers, Phase-Locked-Loops, Analog-digital converters, ... in either VHDL or SystemVerilog at different abstraction levels, matching the schematic specification.

This includes verification with test benches for model qualification and sign-off, adaptation, automation and optimization of the development infrastructure. As a verification engineer you have ownership of functional analog macro sign-off which includes the communication of status and results into the existing verification management framework.

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group H (https://www.feei.at/kv-2017-0). A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Based on provided documents the appropriate number of service years will be credited as prior employment.


Qualifications

Must have:

-Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics or equivalent.

-Experience in analog design Experience with digital simulation tools like Mentor QuestaSim, Synopsys VCS and/or Mixed Signal simulation tools like Synopsys VCSXA, Mentor QuestaADMS

-Ability to read and understand schematics to define and implement functional behavioral models

-Ability to think on different abstraction levels from very detailed component to system-level

-Familiar with hardware description languages like VHDL, SystemVerilog, Verilog

-Outstanding sense and drive for quality of deliverables

-Verification mindset

-Reliable, ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

-Good interpersonal and communication skills

-Fluent English, spoken and written

Nice to have:

-System know-how in the cellular RF transceiver domainC/C++ programming language for testcase development

-German language knowledge is an advantage
