As a pre-sales and post-sales, technical specialist within Intel's RSD Direct Team. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for influencing and enabling end user customers to adopt and purchase complex datacenter solutions. Responsibilities include technology white board sessions, system design and configurations, pricing interface, proposal creation, and customer presentations. The Sales Engineer will work closely with the Business Units, Sales & Marketing Group (SMG) and strategic partners to propose and implement complex integrated solutions which will include compute, storage, networking, data analytic and software solutions.
Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following: • Degree in Engineering, Information Technology or a business related discipline • 5+ years' experience as an enterprise technology specialist, solutions architect, sales engineer or systems integrator working within the HPC, server, converged or hyperconverged infrastructure industries. • 5+ years' experience in the design, configuration, and pricing of complex datacenter oriented solutions. • Deep understanding of datacenter market and trends, typical applications and corresponding solution architectures • Hands on experience designing modern HPC, HPC in the cloud and Storage solutions with mainstream frameworks and tools like Intel compilers, MPI, OpenMP, OpenCL, MKL, etc with deployment and troubleshooting and have used the above in real world projects. Additional Profile Characteristics Preferred • Excellent communication skills (English verbal and written) required to build rapport and communicate effectively with all levels of internal organizations and external partners. • Highly self-motivated and disciplined, good team player and passion to work within a sales environment. • Travel required • Salesforce or similar CRM tools, Microsoft office skills MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
