The candidate will be responsible for development of pre-silicon platforms for Intel's mobile products with focus on modem Virtual Platform development. This role will be reporting to Modem Platform Software Group of Intel's cellular devices organization. The candidate would lead the development teams in India and Germany in delivering Virtual Simulation Platforms for Pre-silicon verification of the mobile products. The candidate should be able to break down Modem end user scenario's into Virtual Prototype simulation requirements, recommend appropriate Pre-Silicon framework for SW/HW verification, able to take part in the design of the simulation framework and guide the team from concept to delivery. The candidate will lead a team of 70 to 100 developers working on Virtual Platform development and delivery to internal/external customers.Although the main focus is on SystemC based Virtual Simulation Platforms development, the overall product strategy will include FPGA, System Level Emulation and hybrid combinations of these. The candidate would oversee the delivery of these platforms to the product development & verification engineers for them to use it for pre-silicon development & verification. The goal is to verify the silicon and related software and firmware before tapeout and identify potential software, firmware, hardware bugs before first silicon is in house. A further goal is to have all mission-critical software and firmware to be developed and verified within a short time of silicon availability.

-Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent with minimum of 15 years overall experience -Experience in pre-silicon platform development for computing or mobile or both. Strong background in embedded systems and SystemC/RTL based emulation platform development and usage -Strong background in Cellular modem HW/SW architecture and in software/firmware development for modem platforms is a plus-Expert understanding of product verification techniques using emulation and simulation-Demonstrated leadership experience in a large, complex, global organization-ability to effectively work and communicate across organizational lines -Strong people management background with proven ability to build, inspire and lead high-performing engineering teams-Executive level written, presentation, and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences-High energy, willing to take challenges in a fast paced environment meeting project schedules with collaborative attitude and good command of presentation and customer handling.
