Driver Development Engineer - Ethernet

Job Description

In this position you will develop Linux device drivers for the purpose of pre- and post-silicon/system validation of Intel Ethernet products. The drivers you will work on are proprietary device drivers, enhanced with product-specific low level diagnostic and debug capabilities, whose end customers are mainly Intel internal teams. 
You will take active part in all software lifecycle stages, including requirements, specifications, design, implementation, debug, deployment, integration, support and training. You will become the part of a multinational team of software professionals from various geographical locations. You will also work closely with other Intel teams, including hardware design, development and validation organizations.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science or related BS/MS degree in software development field
  • Minimum of 3 years of aggregate hands on software development experience
  • Knowledge and experience in C and C++ in Linux environments
  • Knowledge and experience in Linux device drivers development
  • Proved experience in OOP, multithreading, design-patterns, STL
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Good planning skills, ability to execute according to plans while demonstrating transparency
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, perform tasks in an efficient manner with no assistance
  • Great self-management skills
  • Ability to collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced high-performance environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in the field of networks
  • Knowledge in verification Specman/E-Knowledge in post-silicon HW validation
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Familiarity with script/text processing languages/make-files
  • Strong problem solving skills
