R&D Performance Analysis - Summer Internship Under

Job Description

The group is focused on performance analysis and prediction on High Performance Computing and Machine Learning/Deep Learning where Intel is a key player. Responsibilities may be quite diverse in a technical nature and will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the role, U.S. experience and education requirements. Job assignments may be for the summer or for short periods throughout the school year.

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyze how a given software utilizes the available hardware resources and highlight any observable performance bottleneck hardware, operating system, application.
  • Set-up industry standard benchmarks, deep learning frameworks such as Caffe, Theano, Torch, Tensorflow, Neon etc. on Intel platforms along with optimized software stacks,
  • Application profiling and characterization, micro-benchmark coding or cross-platform porting, application optimizations, performance measurement

  • Analytical Skills with detail orientation
  • Good Technical communication skills


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must be pursuing a bachelor’s in Computer Science or related fields
- Minimum 6 months experience with C, C++ or Java
- Minimum 3 months experience with Intel architecture, ARM
- Minimum 3 months experience with both hardware and software
- Minimum 3 months experience with platform setup, troubleshooting and debugging
- Must possess unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.
