DSP and FEC IP Engineering Manager

Job Description

The DSP & FEC IP Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers to develop IP for Intel Programmable Solutions Group PSG FPGAs. Your responsibilities will include the following and more:- Understand system DSP design requirements and how FPGAs can fulfill these, especially for wireless communication systems- Architect, develop, verify, and roll out IP products which implement algorithms on FPGA, ranging from FIR filter to forward error correction, such as 5G LDPC.- Plan group engineering work for product release cycles- Customize IP for specific customer design opportunities- Develop and mentor staff for technical and professional growth


Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 10 years of experience in DSP and FPGA development
- Proven track record in team management, development, and leadership
- Experience with IP architecture, development, verification, and rollout
- Experience with parameterizable automation of logic generation and verification
- Experience with implementing and verifying algorithms for forward error correction, such as Reed-Solomon, Turbo, and LDPC in ASIC or FPGA
- Experience with implementing and verifying DSP functions such as FFT, FIR, and IIR in ASIC or FPGA
- Experience with hardware debugging and validation using equipment such as function generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes
- Familiar with FPGA development and verification process, using Verilog or VHDL
- Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration skills, and cross-functional leadership
