Patching Support Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a Patching Support Specialist with the desire to learn about security and enforcement procedures, with strong discipline executing repeatable processes, and with creativity to suggest improvements. As a Patching Support Specialist within Information Security, you will be in charge of driving the patching and security process for targeted servers, both Linux and Windows, applying security vulnerability patches in bulk using Patching/Configuration Management Systems. Support includes troubleshooting the targeted servers pre and post patching. Working knowledge of Information Security policies and relevant security certification (e.g. CISSP) desired.


Qualifications

1-3 years of Experience in Tech Support (L1-L2)Linux and Windows Server OS knowledgePatching Experience in Linux or Windows is a plus (BigFix, Satellite or Spacewalk)Excellent communication skills, written and verbalQuick learner and proactive attitudeAbility to follow procedures and defined instructionsAttention to detail and disciplineExcellent Customer Service SkillsBasic Scripting/Programming Skills
