Platform Signal Integrity Lab Technician

Industry leading signaling development team at Intel Corporation. The team is part of the Intel Data Center Artificial Intelligence Group (DCAI). We have a wide range of work that we are responsible for. From innovating new interconnect solutions to develop software tools used in signal integrity designs.

With this position, you will experience technology development from inception to production. You will work side by side with industry experts and leaders in high-speed signal integrity. You will be part of the team to develop next generation interconnect technology. Work that we do today will be the backbone to the data centers of tomorrow.

The Platform Signal Integrity Lab Technician enables engineering development efforts by managing and maintaining the lab environment. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

• Deployment of automated tests, triages, and root cause issues which have setup issues, removal or redeployment of tests needing software and/or hardware upgrades, and/or performing electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting to establish problems in nonfunctioning lab equipment.

• Design and develops customized equipment, fixtures, and/or protocols to enable highly accurate execution of lab activities. Monitors tests and quality assurance of equipment and performs equipment modifications as directed.

• Develop technical documentation, including functional specifications and requirements, manufacturing test specifications, qualification test plans, product change notices, and standard operating procedures of equipment and processes.

• Drive logistics management and physical set up of prototype systems and peripheral devices, monitors inventory levels and restocks supplies, and maintains inventory reports and logs.

• Participate in the definition, selection, procurement, commissioning, and validation of equipment and instrumentation needed for testing.

• Ensure test results are recorded accurately and in adherence to established quality practices.

• Perform preventive maintenance and good laboratory housekeeping, establishes, maintains, and conducts routine testing of benches, testers, and other equipment.

Qualifications

You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork classes research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences.

Minimum Education Requirement

• Associate's degree in electronics.

Minimum Qualifications

5 years+ of relevant experience in the following areas:

• PCB layout review and associated tools such as Allegro or Mentor.

• Lab equipment such as oscilloscopes TDRs or VNAs.

• Scripting languages such as Matlab and Python.

• Platform power on experience.

• Fine pitch device rework/soldering.
