Job Description
Join the Data-Center Core Hardware Engineering (DCHE) team as a Senior Project/Program Manager leading the organization in program development and management. As a leader, you will manage programs of large, global scope, impact and complexity through all phases of the product lifecycle. In this role, you will specifically be the Program Manager responsible and overseeing the next generation Xeon platform server hardware development and operations execution.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Handles cross organizational programs of broad scope and high complexity or of broad scope and moderate complexity usually managing a core team that manages functionally specific teams.
- Leads the Core HW team(s), guiding performance of functional teams usually through other PM leads.
- Plans and manages both programs and projects that are directly tied to the development and implementation of products for external customers.
- Provides leadership for the project team and key interfaces to the program and Senior Management.
- Identifies tasks, determine dependencies, identify, and assign specific resources, communicate expectations to team members, obtain task effort and duration estimates from team members, and create/track the project schedule.
- Assesses risk and identify issues related to the delivery of the Xeon platform.
- Monitors progress against schedule.
- Coordinates resources with other functional areas and management.
- Requires thorough knowledge of business practices and procedures to perform or direct analytical work.
- Leads the team through problem solving processes to address wide range of difficult platform-level problems.
- Manages interdependencies and integration among multiple teams and stakeholders supporting the Hardware Product Development Team.
- Ensures appropriate indicators highlighting progress against schedule and takes remedial action as appropriate.
- Has advanced understanding of the technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with the Xeon server platforms and utilizes knowledge to accelerate project execution.
- Exercise judgment and discretion to develop solutions, remove obstacles and redefine approaches.
- Actively manage the program to ensure that quality standards and budget constraints are met.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher level of education in any relevant majors.
- 5+ years of combined experience in:
- Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
- Program management or manufacturing operations
Preferred qualifications:
- Program management experience leading matrixed complex programs
- Familiarity with Server board, system and datacenter design and architecture
- Technical understanding of Intel's silicon and/or platform Product Life Cycles (PLC's).
- Experience using OpEx / Lean methodologies to enhance efficiency is a plus.
- Familiarity with hardware and software engineering methodologies is highly desired.
