Responsibilities:

• Translates manufacturing, market dynamics, and business requirements into actionable strategies and tactics as they relate to bills of materials risk assessment/mitigation, inventory health/optimization, streamlined/reliable supply chain and the total cost to business.
• Coordinates and monitors the acquisition of materials in support of New Product Introduction (NPI) programs/projects and ramp readiness for seamless transition to High Volume Manufacturing (HVM).
• Works closely with suppliers to execute contractual requirements and discuss performance, cost opportunities, and future operational strategies.
• Works closely in collaboration with cross functional staff across project/program management, engineering, supply chain, including commodity professionals/purchasing and manufacturing teams, to define customer demand and early raw materials requirements, influence supplier and component selections, and drive planning and procurement activities at both product and cross product platform levels.
• Ensures that bills of materials integrity, materials availability, cost, and quality goals are set and successfully achieved. Provides assessments/status to stakeholders at multiple levels, establishes contingency and gap closure plans, and closely monitors program indicators. Analyzes data to develop and design solutions for complex processes.
• Participates in the development and improvement of systems and tools to drive efficiencies across the organization. Works with cross organizational teams to drive forward looking supply chain solutions.
• Manages suppliers to achieve on time delivery and cycle time performance, resolution of material escalations, Bills of Materials (BOM) cost benchmarking/optimization, Engineering Change Order (ECO) change closure, new site startup, and liability settlements.
• Ensures tight linkages to each business unit's production requirements to enable output maximization while balancing cost and inventory control.

• Experience working with factory and engineering personnel.
• Strong understanding of interrelated organizations and processes – Sales, Finance, Tax, Trade.
• Data analysis skills

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree or a Bachelor of Arts degree
• 5+ years of materials program manager experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the position of Materials Program Manager (MPM) and/or Procurement
• Understanding of both product design engineering and commodity management or priorities for raw material or component selection
• Ability to integrate the delivery schedule of materials into product program milestones
• Effectively manage supplier performance
• Working knowledge of Materials Requirements Planning (preferred mSAP) and Bill of Material Structure tools (preferred SPEED) as well as PO placement and management.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
