Security Research Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking for a Security Research Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and validating the design, development, execution, and implementation of Intel's hardware and software products and services to ensure they meet stringent security standards.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Standards and Specifications Compliance: Ensure that all products conform to relevant security standards and specifications.
- Innovative Problem Solving: Utilize formal education, judgment, and formal processes to develop innovative solutions to complex security problems.
- State-of-the-Art Knowledge: Maintain substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art security principles, theories, and attacks, and contribute to the body of knowledge through literature and conference participation.
- Intellectual Property Development: Participate in the development of intellectual property, including patents and scientific publications.
- Collaboration and Partnerships: Research technological trends and enable partnerships and collaboration among industry, academia, standards bodies, product teams, and other technical groups to address important technology and customer issues.
- Proof-of-Concepts and Prototypes: Perform research to define boundaries and create proof-of-concepts or prototypes for new ideas/exploits.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications, you must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position:
- Bachelor´s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related.
- 1+ years of experience in:
- Logic Design or Validation, using System Verilog.
- Programming skills in C, Assembly, Python, and Bash.
- Applying knowledge about CPU Architecture.
- Intermediate to advanced English level.
The position is in Mexico, it is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship.
Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Mexico.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates:
- Experience in developing automated applications, tools, and exploits.
- Experience using source version control and CI/CD tools like GitHub.
- Experience in writing and debugging kernel modules.
- Experience in writing AI workloads for accelerators.
- Proficiency in security fuzzing using AFL.
- Knowledge in Micro-Architecture.
- Any experience in hardware validation/debug is a plus.
