Enterprise Application Development Engineer - Enterprise Archiving

Job Description

We are looking for passionate and experienced Enterprise Application Development Engineer who will be part of the IT Corporate Data and Insights (CDI) group. You will be part of an Agile Persistent Team (APT) to analyze, design, implement, support Enterprise Data Archiving and Retrieval solutions and responsible for developing web-based applications using latest front-end and back-end technologies. We are looking for candidates who are strong team players, innovative with solid technical capability in software methodology, effective communication skills, superior analytical skills and excellent work ethics. You will be responsible for gathering or analyzing user requirements, writing design specifications and implementing the solution. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: leading a group or be part of application developers, applying judgment in data analysis to design and develop solutions for complex requirements and specifications, performing unit and integration testing; planning and scheduling work to meet deadlines; exploring new technology alternatives to solve problems.

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities

• General Software Development Engineer focuses on general software development responsibilities.
• Executes full software development life cycle (SDLC) and to identify requirements and solutions using Agile/DevOps approaches.
• Produces specifications and determines operational feasibility for software and applications.
• Writes well-designed, testable code either custom or from a specific development platform.
• Integrates software components into a fully functional software system and develops software verification plans and quality assurance procedures along the way.
• Documents and maintains software functionality.
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems as needed during testing and build cycles.
• Deploy programs and evaluates user feedback.
• Complies with project plans and industry standards and ensures software is updated with latest features and standards.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BE/B. Tech degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field OR equivalent job experience.
• 5+ years of work experience as a Software / Developer and in some of the following areas:

o Designing interactive applications
o Programming languages: C#.NET, Java
o Databases, such as: MS SQL Server.
o In software engineering tools and CI/CD practices.
o Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (MVC).
o Experience with test-driven development and ability to document requirements and specifications.

Preferred Qualifications:
Industrial experience in:
o ReactJS and Python
o Development in relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL) and TSQL (Transactional SQL).
o Web development experience using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, SASS, ReactJS, WebAPI etc.
o MVC framework/models or Single Page Application models.
o Agile methodology (SCRUM) experience, (SAFe would be ideal).
o Unit Testing or Integration Testing or Automated Testing.
o Version control with Github.
o Object Oriented design and programming skills (e.g. C#)
o Knowledge on SAP S/3 and SAP S/4 HANA for Archiving

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
