We are the Product Enablement Solutions Group (PESG). Come join our world class CAD team and take part in developing the future IPs, Cores, and SOCs.
We are looking for motivated engineers to deliver cutting-edge tools, flows, and methodologies for improving design productivity and drive Design-Technology co-optimization.
PESG is a worldwide organization that delivers an end-to-end design system for development of Intel's IPs, Cores, and SOCs. We partner with the hardware design teams and EDA vendors. We leverage a mix of experts with different backgrounds, cultures, perspectives, and experiences to deliver a world-class design system that powers Intel's leadership products.
Who You Are
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Designs, implements, verifies, and supports the enablement and adoption of hardware design tools, flows, and methodologies.
- Defines methodologies for hardware development related to design-for-test (DFT), manufacturing test generation and EDA tool enabling.
- Creates and verifies unique hardware designs, assembles design platforms, and integrates components into hierarchical systems to provide deployment coverage for endtoend EDA tool testing on new technology nodes.
- Develops, tests, and analyzes engineering design automation tools, flow, and methodologies to improve efficiency and optimize power and performance. Supports development and enhancement of platforms, databases, scripts, and tools flows for design automation.
- Builds deep understanding of digital design, verification, structural and physical layout, fullchip integration, power and performance, clocking, and/or timing to enhance future TFM development.
- Collaborates with EDA vendors on defining and early testing of nextgeneration design tools.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master or PhD degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 2+ years of experience.
- Your experience in following area:
- Logic and memory design principles, VLSI design flow and VLSI CAD algorithms.
- Tool, flows and methodology development for DFT insertion and test generation needs.
- Programming skills with one or more of the high level languages e.g. C++/C/TCL/Perl etc.
- Theoretical knowledge in computer science, including algorithms and data structures.
- Standard software engineering practices for version control, configuration management, debugging and validation.
Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Detailed understanding of logic and array design-for-test (DFT) principles and test CAD or formal verification algorithms
- Knowledge of software design patterns and programming paradigms, Linux OS features and scripting languages
- A thesis in the area of DFT, test CAD or formal verification
