Intel Integrated Photonics Solutions (IPS) Division is seeking an engineer to be part of a development team for optoelectronic technologies based on Si-Photonics. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team demonstrating integrated SiPh optoelectronic circuits and subsystems for data center connectivity and other applications.
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Defining the methodologies and test plans for characterizing DC and high-speed performance of photonics integrated chips
- Planning, building and qualifying testing infrastructure, developing equipment control software (using Python) and enabling R&D test automation and executing experiments
- Analyzing data, conducting data reviews, and making design recommendations
- Debugging unexpected results and discrepancies
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Minimum qualifications:
The candidate must possess the following;
- Ph.D or Master's in with 3years work experience in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optical Science, or related disciplines.
- Experienced with Python scripting for design of experiments and automation.
- High-speed testing involving VNAs, AWGs, DCA, and coherent equipment is a bonus.
- Experience with different modulation formats (PAM4, NRZ) is a bonus.
- Experience in photonics device physics, semiconductor lasers, optical amplifiers, fiber optics, and integrated optics is a bonus.
