GPU Software Development Engineer – Run-Time (Hybrid @ Katowice/Gdańsk & Virtual Poland)

Job Description

Intel's XPU Software architecture team is looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to help define and build the next generation of high-performance XPU architectures for Intel. This individual will be a member of the software team developing the run-time environment for executing parallel algorithms for the advanced CPU architecture and will work with XPU architecture engineers and the systems engineering team to create new XPU products and programming models for them. This position will be responsible for developing a set of runtime libraries and API to communicate effectively with the XPU system layer and parallel hardware.

You will play an important role in creating the XPU run-time architecture and implementing the system software stack for innovative compute architectures. You will work with the architects and developers of our XPU simulator model and XPU system environment, Intel OneAPI team, pre- and post-silicon verification, and validation team, and help design and develop SW IP for next-generation Intel highly parallel computing systems

• What you'll be doing:
• Work on the design and implementation of a new run-time system necessary to effectively use the XPU and provide the necessary system environment for the execution of parallel codes.
• Work on dv-testing and validation of the run-time API
• Seek interesting and meaningful problems for state-of-the-art CPU and XPU technologies.

Qualifications

Minimum skills and experience:

• BS, MS or PhD in C.S., E.E., or related field
• 5+ years of experience in system SW design and development
• Experience developing high quality code in C/C++, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Understanding of CPU architecture and system architecture
• Experience with Unix-like and Windows operating systems, simulators, debuggers
• Knowledge of operating systems architecture, drivers, multithreaded programming

Preferred skills and experience:

• Understanding of parallel programming models, data structures and algorithms, synchronization methods
• Ability to collaborate well with others in an energizing environment
• Creative thinking and effective communication.
