Job Description

Intel is looking for an AI software developer who will play a pivotal role in working on Intel Movidius Vision Processing Unit (VPU) on a wide range of software stacks and solutions.

As an AI Software Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to design, develop and integrate Intel products and features to utilize artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning. 

You will also focus on all aspects of the software stack that's running on top of the Intel Movidius Vision Processing Unit (VPU), ranging from userspace applications, operating systems, drivers, compilers to firmware.

We are a distributed team with our engineers working in a hybrid model.
Our team is based in Timisoara, but we are open to senior candidates from all over Romania.


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least three years relevant experience on cross-stack software projects.

  • Bachelors/Masters in Electronic Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent

  • Programming skills with exposure to multiple programming and scripting languages: C/C++/C#/Python/Bash/Makefiles

  • Knowledge or experience working with compiler technologies.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Embedded systems experience and real time operating systems.

  • Experience in developing drivers.

  • Ability to create software designs based on architecture and requirements.

  • Experience with heterogenous architectures.

  • Ability to clearly communicate concepts and problem statements in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Experience demonstrating problem solving skills.

  • GPU/VPU programming experience.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
