Job Description
In this internship, you will be a member of the Data Center Design Power and Performance (DCD PnP) team. The DCD PnP team is responsible for projecting and optimizing the power, binsplit, thermals, and performance for Data Center products including Xeon, Xeon-D, and Atom-based SoCs. We offer exciting opportunities to develop technical depth and leadership.

Internship responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analyzing and modeling power estimates, collaborating with the team members for inputs, identifying methodologies to reduce bottlenecks and automating tasks to improve efficiency

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following traits:

  • Skilled in effective communication and teamwork, analytically driven with strong problem-solving skills
  • A resourceful and disciplined self-starter and detail oriented

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements:

The candidate must be pursuing Master's or PhD degree in Computer / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science.

6+ months experience with:

  • Pre-Si power analysis and modeling
  • Programming or scripting languages, preferably in Perl, Python, or Ruby
  • Industry-standard design and power estimation tools
  • General computer architecture and digital circuit design concepts

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
