We are looking to hire a team of Power and Performance (PnP) Engineers. As a Power and Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating early SOC and platform performance, debugging regressions and interfacing with both the pre and post silicon performance teams and architects.
As a Power and Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
You will also work on workload characterization, tracing and simulations and help make roadmap decisions based on analytical pathfinding experiments.
As part of this effort, you will also research upcoming and trending computational ideas and usage models.
We are looking for inherently inquisitive people who also enjoy working in a lab environment and have a passion for optimizing power and performance.
You will be working with senior technical engineers at Intel who are continuously thinking to transform our technological landscape.
This position is hybrid at the Santa Clara, CA Intel site during the 20-week returnship program.
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Candidates must have taken a career break for 2 or more years.
Candidate musty have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or a STEM related discipline with 5+ years of experience in system performance and benchmarking -OR- Masters' Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or a STEM related discipline with 3+ years of experience in related fields.
Understanding of especially x86computer architecture.
Experience with C/C++ and Python.
Knowledge of Lab measurement technologies for Power and Analog data acquisition.
Knowledge of PC Software, Stack: Firmware, device Driver, and OS.
An ideal candidate will have experience with computer architecture, benchmarking, analyzing PnP data, sound understanding of OS and software fundamentals.
Willing to instrument boards for power measurements in an added plus.
