Job Description

Intel PSG (Programmable Solutions Group) business is entering an exciting new phase with transformative market penetration in data center, 5G wireless, and industrial market. As result of this, there are exciting opportunities in developing and validating structured ASIC product with cutting edge technology and superior performance per watt at low cost.

We are looking for Senior System Validation Engineer for High-Speed SERDES to join our growing team. As a System Validation Engineer, you will define validation requirement and develop validation content required to achieve validation coverage. You will also work with team members to drive execution toward tape-in quality, power-on readiness, and post silicon validation, in alignment with the program milestone and Intel quality. This leadership role will provide ample opportunities for broad technical influence across organizations, making huge impact on the business bottom line and hence personal growth.

  • Conduct technical readiness for new structured ASIC products and define high level validation strategy for high-speed SERDES.

  • Define validation requirement, access mechanism, board requirement, and validation methodology required to achieve system validation coverage for high-speed SERDES.

  • Develop validation plan, validation content including automation scripts, and setup configuration to get ready for power-on.

  • Develop RTL design for integrated system level testing and prototype in FPGA

  • Bring-up and debug test content post silicon and provide input to data sheet spec per validation data.

  • Guide customer pre-silicon enablement, customer power-on, and post silicon issue debug.


You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of total experience, experience should include:

  • Pre or Post silicon protocol validation experience (PCIe, Ethernet, or related transceiver validation)

  • RTL experience (Verilog, SystemVerilog, Logic Design, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of validation experience

  • Experience in electrical compliance validation for PCI-E, Ethernet, and/or CEI

  • FPGA design/prototype/emulation experience
