Job Description
Xeon Engineering Group (XEG) India is looking for a Senior Emulation Validation Engineer to be a part of our team during an unprecedented time of growth and technology development and enable Intel's datacentric vision in building and scaling custom logic solutions spanning coherency and interconnects. In this role you will be responsible for validating entire solutions with board, silicon, SOC RTL, software, and firmware ingredients along with responsibilities that will include but are not limited to- Define and develop new capabilities and HW/SW tools to enable acceleration of RTL and improve emulation model usability for functional validation as well as SW development/validation.- Test content development using languages - IA-Core Assembly, C / C++ programming, Python- Develop improvements to usability by RTL validation and debugging of failing RTL tests on the emulation platform- Responsible for the development of methodologies, execution of validation plans, and debug of failures- Work with cross functional team - model development, RTL, BIOS teams - to define and execute emulation test-plan- Participating in the debug of failures on silicon and developing new testing strategies to detect these failures on RTL models- Interfaces with and provides guidance to pre-Silicon Validation teams for optimizing pre-Si validation environments, test suites and methodologies for emulation efficiency.- Requires broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon Validation teams in improving post-silicon test content- Work in cross-functional teams to deliver bug free features in a timely manner
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical or Electronics or Computer Engineering with minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the below,- Strong experience in FPGA or ASIC based SoC system-level validation and debug- Experience in understanding product specification, microarchitecture design details and map it to a given implementation- Experience in concurrency and coherency validation is highly preferred - Expertise in post silicon validation of FPGA or ASIC based SoC products including coming up with test plans, test cases for a feature and devising debug techniques- Ability to understand existing scripts in Python and write new scripts/make changes to Python based validation and debug scriptstechnologies would be preferred and considered a big plus- Expertise in FPGA or ASIC board bring-up and debug including JTAG, use of internal and external logic analysers, protocol analysers and oscilloscope would be preferred- Candidates with previous experience on any FW architecture, FW development, FW validation with a broad system view can be consideredPreferred Qualifications- Person who has got exposure to Emulation technologies such as ZEBU, Falcon, Palladium and Infra setup on emulation is also an added advantage to this role.- FPGA Virtual PlatformsIn addition the ideal candidate is expected to have- Skills and ability to be a self-starter ramp quickly on new technologies and collaborate closely with stake holders to drive quality and efficiency- Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills- Good communication skills verbal and written- Strong inclination to innovation to drive efficiency

Working Model
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
