Job Description

As a member of the Manufacturing, Supply Chain Operations Organization, you will be a full business partner vested in making the MSO Vision and Mission a reality. You will be working with Technology Development partners, Virtual Factory manufacturing stakeholders, and Suppliers to develop, validate, and deploy ramp velocity improvement projects and/or new product introduction (NPI) solutions. We have positions available near Portland, Oregon, and Phoenix, Arizona

The Supply Chain Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Developing/leading engineering solutions to meet or exceed quality, reliability, availability, yield, and productivity goals.

  • Design for Cost by negotiating with suppliers and identifying innovative solutions

  • Conducting studies relative to cost control, process control, and production yield and implementing plans and programs to optimize the supply chain.

  • Using data to identify and track key performance indicators in order to drive continuous process and quality improvements.

  • Negotiating with suppliers to define performance specifications. Writing and maintaining the technical document for these performance metrics.

  • Summarizing data or complex technical concepts for a diverse audience in both written and verbal communication forms.

  • Leading User's Group and Development Working Groups between Supplier and Customer to develop project solutions

  • Developing, maintaining, and updating roadmaps of continuous improvement projects and/or new product introduction solutions with Suppliers, Technology Development, and Manufacturing

Qualifications

This is an entry-level position and will be compensated accordingly. You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Master's or Ph.D. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Computer Science, or Materials Engineering or related fields of study.

  • This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Design of Experiments and Statistics.

  • Direct Supply Chain experience.

  • Experience working across geographies.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
