Job Description

Performs research, design, and development of test equipment software, library, program flow, fixture, hardware, probing, module and/or tester for main and/or peripheral printed boards assembly (PBA).

Responsibilities include technology pathfinding, architecture development, design material gathering, development of test strategy, device library, determining test parameters, specify test to be performed, conducting design review, designing test/fixture, performing fixture acceptance, debugging test/fixture, resolving design and implementation issues, performs testability and fault coverage analysis, meeting production quality and reliability requirement, and updating test/fixture as needed through product life cycle.

Plans and schedules daily tasks, uses judgment on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices.

Inadequacies and erroneous decisions would cause moderate inconvenience and expense.

This position involves validating and integrating world class Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) instrumentation and capabilities to support product test thru optical connection to 3rd party tester, here at Intel.

The candidate will be responsible to work in collaboration with team members in architecture, design, software, and 3rd party vendor to design and qualify a parallel optical tester.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of experience or Master's Degree with 2+ years of experience or PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Mechanical Engineering (ME).
  • 5+ years of experience in Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) development background and relevant.
  • 1+ years of experience in the following:
    -Electrical test/HW validation.
    -Component test processes and/or methodology.
    -Electrical/software debug.
    -Software coding/scripting skills a must (C++, C#, Python, etc..)
    -Design of Experiments.
    -Statistical Analysis Methods and software (JMP, Excel).
    -Lab skills (oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in the following:
    -Optics/fiber background/experience.
    -Suppler management.
    -Optical signal processing
