Hardware Validation Engineer
This position involves building world class Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) test instrumentation and capabilities to support next generation products testing at Intel.
The candidate will be responsible to work in collaboration with Hardware (HW) design and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA)/software development teams to build new instruments and to validate them to meet the functionality and capability on par and exceeding the current industry standards.
Conducts or participates in multidisciplinary research in the design, development, testing and utilization of information processing hardware and/or electrical components, mechanisms, materials, and/or circuitry, processes, packaging, and cabinetry for central processing units (CPUs) and/or peripheral equipment.
Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports. Ensures products conform to standards and specifications.
Develops plans and cost estimates and assesses projects to analyze risk.
Develops procedures, analysis and design for computer components, products, and systems. Initiates, guides, and coordinates overall design and development of new ideas and products.
Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.
Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.

Is willing to prepare protocols for validation or performance testing of equipment, processes, or systems, analyze data from validation tests to determine whether systems and processes meet required criteria and specifications and is prepared to collaborate and coordinate with appropriate teams and staff regarding the scheduling or implementation of validation testing.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Possess a Bachelor's Degree with 1+ years of experience or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE).
5+ years of experience in development background.
1+ years of experience with lab equipment like VNA, Oscilloscope, Power supplies, etc.
1+ years of experience in Design for Test (DFT).
1+ years of experience in component test processes and/or methodology.
1+ years of experience with Scripting skills (python) for HW validation.
1+ years of experience to read and explain schematic diagrams.
1+ years of experience to read PCB layout images, component datasheets and rework instructions.
