Job Description

The Substrate Packaging Technology Development (SPTD) Facilities Planning and Design Group is looking for a highly driven and disciplined Graduate Intern to support our tactical and strategic facilities modeling efforts.

The candidate will support Intel's world class advanced packaging substrates research and development facility, learn about advanced substrate manufacturing, Integrate with multiple organizations to deliver best in class models and systems, and be part of creating history in the substrate packaging industry.

This is an internship for 3- 6 months, 40 hours a week

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Partner with Sr. Facilities Planning and Design Engineers to improve existing facilities planning and modeling tools for Intel's Chandler Campus.
  • Help drive continuous Improvement in the functionality, quality, productivity, and predictability of the models.
  • Develop management dashboards that accurately represent Chandler site existing facilities capacities versus forecasted demand. Prepare high level "what ifs" to support site strategic planning.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams or work groups of content experts that support substrate technology development.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences .

Minimum qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree and be pursuing a graduate level degree in an Engineering or related field.

Preferred qualifications:

1+ year of experience any in the following:

  • Any previous work or Intern experience in facilities planning, tool install design, or process equipment engineering.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • The candidate must be available to work full time for at least 3-6 months

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
