This is a position within the PDK Custom Design team of the Design Enablement/Process Design Kit (PDK) group. A PDK is a collection of artifacts that represents Intel's semiconductor process and is used by product designers to model, implement and verify Intel's mobile, desktop and server products before it is manufactured.

In this position, responsibilities include although not limited to:

  • PDK Quality validation of Custom Design components across process nodes and multiple EDA flows.

  • Develop regression test suite and execute them to validate PDK wrt pcells, techfiles, runset, parasitic extraction, fill, cross tool results comparison etc.

  • Develop custom layout designs for target verification and running regressions via automation on PDK, debug and root cause the failure

  • Communicate and work with PDK developers, track open issues and drive to closure is daily part of Job.

  • Bachelor/Master in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

  • 6+ years of industry experience with Specific knowledge in:

  • Good understanding of PDKs

  • Hands on experience of custom layout design

  • Knowledge of pcell, runsets, extraction

  • Exposure to industry standard EDA tools from Synopsys, Cadence is must.

  • Scripting experience in Perl/Python/Skill is desired.

  • Strong work ethics, good communication skills

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
