You will be part of the team working on leading edge technologies for numerical computing and data science. We are looking for people who want to play a role in shaping the future of Python for Data Science Python has become No. 1 programming language for Data Science. What it is still lacking is the performance and efficiency of native languages.

You will be playing a role in changing that by helping data science to scale beyond laptop to server CPUs and other devices. We are looking for software developers to join Machine Learning Performance team of Software and Advanced Technology Group, which is responsible for leadership AI software on Intel platforms.

You will be working in open and agile environment by leveraging the power of open source projects as well as the power of large organizations cross-team work. We are seeking for a compiler developer to work on LLVM-based JIT compilation technologies for Python. Any prior experience with high performance computing data analytics databases as well as knowledge of parallel architectures and system software will be a great addition to a skillset that we need. You will be working in a product team by performing design, implementation, testing, code review, and creating documentation for JIT compiler and relevant libraries, You will interface with other teams on compiler related issues You will also work with open source community a

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's with 4+ years or Masters with 3 or more years or PhD. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline with experience in compiler development.

2+ years of experience with the following technical skills:
Hands on experience with C++.
Experience with performance optimization of numerical applications.
Experience with Python.
Experience with compiler development.

The Machine Learning Performance (MLP) division is at the leading edge of the AI revolution at Intel, covering the full stack from applied ML to ML / DL and data analytics frameworks, to Intel oneAPI AI libraries, and CPU/GPU HW/SW co-design for AI acceleration. Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
