Job Description

Equipment Technicians perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in nonfunctioning electromechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans blueprints operating or repair manuals rough sketches or drawings. May also perform setup calibration and preventative maintenance on production equipment. Assignments are semi-routine in nature. Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment required in resolving non-standard problems. Normally receives general instructions on most work.


Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Apprenticeship in Mechanical Fitting, Plumbing, Electrical or similar. NCEA Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical / Electronic engineering or equivalent. Minimum of FETAC level 6. 3+ years of experience in a facilities operations or maintenance environment. Able to lift a minimum of 30lbs and work ergonomically within in confined spaces. Able to perform job roles and responsibilities while wearing personal protective equipment. Able to work from heights and climb ladders. Preferred Qualifications Ability to excel as an individual contributor and part of a team and work effectively across multiple facilities operations disciplines. Knowledge and proven ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pumps, valves and PLC control logic. Ability to operate a PIT (forklift, pallet jack) and spend a considerable part of your day working in a mobile environment.
