Custom Compute (XCC) group at Intel Corporation, a business unit focused on differentiating solutions with the goal of addressing the $30B of unaddressed AXG TAM in Blockchain, Edge Visual & Super Compute, Advanced Technology Design Services, and other emerging use-cases, by offering custom silicon/platform solutions to our customers
Conducts or participates in multidisciplinary research in the design, development, testing and utilization of information processing hardware and/or electrical components, mechanisms, materials, and/or circuitry, processes, packaging, and cabinetry for central processing units (CPUs) and/or peripheral equipment. Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports. Ensures products conform to standards and specifications. Develops plans and cost estimates and assesses projects to analyze risk. Develops procedures, analysis and design for computer components, products, and systems. Initiates, guides, and coordinates overall design and development of new ideas and products. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred skills and experience, are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Candidate must have a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields with 4+ years of experience OR Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields 3+ years of educational or the equivalent years industry experience.
At least 3+ years experience in in performance and power modeling.
Preferred skills and Experience:
Knowledge of developing performance models to investigate potential architectural solutions.
Understanding of working with customer-developed performance and functional models.
Familiarity with pre-silicon functional and performance validation.
Experience with optimizing critical design features for power and/or performance.
Prior experience with Intel Federal custom silicon programs greatly preferred.
